Richard Gurda Obituary

Richard (Ricky) Ronald Gurda, 45, Milwaukee, passed away on February 28, 2020 at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee WI. 

Ricky was born the son of Richard J Gurda and Gail J (Laper) Gurda on August 21, 1974 in Milwaukee WI. 

Ricky lived in Fox Lake WI in his early years with Uncle Wane and Aunt Teri and Tiffany and Phillip Stankiewicz. He attended Fox Lake and Waupun schools while there. Ricky played on the basketball team for First Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam WI. When Ricky returned to Milwaukee, he attended MATC and got a degree in auto mechanics. He worked for various employers in Milwaukee. His current job was at Milwaukee Tools in Brookfield WI. 

Ricky had an infectious smile that could light up any room he was in. He loved to take things apart to see how they work. He could fix almost anything that he put his mind to. He also loved hunting up north. Ricky was an excellent cook and baker and he could also sew. 

The most important thing to Ricky were his daughters: Nicole and Natalie. Everything he did was for the girls. His whole life was centered around them. He will be sadly missed by everyone who loved and knew him. 

Ricky is survived by his daughters Nicole and Natalie Gurda Milwaukee WI, father, Richard J Gurda Milwaukee WI, brother James (Melissa) Gurda Mayville WI, sister Carrie Gurda Milwaukee WI, Ricky is further survived by a maternal grandmother, Beverly (Hahn) Stankiewicz, Rio WI, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

Ricky was preceded in death by Gail (Laper) Gurda, mother, paternal grandparents, maternal grandfather, and uncle Dwane. 

A celebration of Ricky’s life will be held on March 28, 2020 at the Saloon on Calhoun Brookfield WI beginning at 5pm in the Fifth Quarter Banquet Room.
