Lester T. Povlich

Born to life on February 15th,1947 and passed into eternal life on September 29th, 2023 at the age of 76.

Survived by sons Michael and Jamey, brothers Rick (Mary), David (Barbara), and Jeff (Jill), grandson Joshua,

 many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Godfather of Grant Gilboy.

Preceded in passing by loving wife Sheryl (Wink), parents Lester and Wilma, and brother Timothy.

Lester (Tom) passed away peacefully in his sleep after a hard fought battle with congestive heart failure.

Most recently attempting to recover from a broken hip, he never let his spirit down.

Les, "Tom", was a proud retiree from the US Army, amassing over 30 yrs of service, and attaining the rank of Master Sergeant. 

A leader of men, Master Sergeant Povlich was named the first Artillery Branch Chief of Artillery at the Wisconsin Military Academy at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin.

Very deserving recipient of "The Honorable Order of St. Barbara Award", given for the " Highest Standards of Integrity and Professionalism Within the US Army Field Artillery".

A devoted husband, loving father, caring family member, committed mentor and friend to his military brethren, and good friend to so many, Les, "Tom", "Pops", "The Hammer", Povlich will be truly missed by many.  "Dilly Dilly"
