John Witherspoon Obituary

John Leroy Witherspoon, 46, of Saint Francis, Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly on October 11th, 2020. John is survived by his parents, Gerald (Christine) Witherspoon of Oak Creek, and Kim (Ronald) Hrobar of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Children, Sarah, Ethan and Gavin Witherspoon of Oshkosh, Grandparents John (Linda) Witherspoon, Dorothy Witherspoon, Carol Maudie, Sister Halle Witherspoon, and Step sisters Tanya Warner and Angela Marchese. He is also further survived by his former spouse, Amy Balthazor, and many loving friends, aunts, uncles, cousins, nephew and nieces. He was preceded in death by his uncle Kurt Roeder, grandparents Leroy and Alice Roeder, and John and Helen Hrobar. John was born May 1st, 1974 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He graduated from Whitefish Bay High School in 1992 and went on to attend Waukesha County Technical College. He later worked for EST Company in Grafton, Wisconsin for several years as a CNC Machine Operator and then onto Goodwill Industries as the Assistant Director in the laundry division. He loved working with people; he was working as a security officer until he passed away. Lover of all things Miami Dolphins and Batman memorabilia, John also loved cooking, traveling, spending time outdoors camping and fishing as well as relaxing watching some movies or playing video games. ** Our Dad was resilient. He was one of the strongest people we knew and showed us what true love was. Through everything, we knew that no matter what, our dad was always going to be there for us. The time we were given with him is something we will never take for granted, and we promise we will continue to make him proud. No one can replace him, and it’s still hard to really put into words how much we miss him. He thought he was literally Batman and even though we would just roll our eyes at him, we knew that the strength and courage he had really resembled that. Dad, thank you for your lasting impact on our lives; from the music we listen to, the way we talk, the way we act, the things we grew up playing with or watching, the movies we like, those will forever remain in our hearts and we will always think of you, even with the littlest things that remind us of you. You are and will forever be our hero. We love and miss you more than words can even begin to describe. Love, Bug-A-Boo, E-Dub, and G.
