Acim “Sam” Selimi, 71 years of age, of Fredonia, WI passed away on Sunday, September 26th, 2021, of natural causes.
Sam was born in the European country of Macedonia on September 15th, 1950. He came to the United States at the young age of 18 with just a few dollars in his pocket to live the American Dream in hopes of a better life. Sam was the backbone of his family, working 2-3 jobs to support, not only himself, but his entire family in Macedonia. He played a key role in bringing some of his siblings to America to share in his dream of building a better life for themselves.
He had the most captivating and charismatic way of telling stories of his many adventures, his life experiences, and challenges he conquered along the way. He was fascinating, quick witted, and brilliant. His infectious laugh, smiling face, magnetic personality, and signature moustache will forever be missed.
Sam was loved by so many dear friends and family from all over the world. His generosity was like no other, always giving out of the kindness of his heart without needing any recognition or expecting anything in return.
He lived life to the fullest by traveling the world, enjoying the company of beloved friends and family who shared his passion for food, Balkan music, and ethnic dancing. In his final years, he found peace and comfort, surrounded by nature, at his cabin in Fredonia which was a reminder of his childhood home.
Sam is survived by his grandson, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends and loved ones whose lives he touched in all corners of the world.
He will forever hold a special place in our hearts for all eternity.
