Robyn Ann (dee Neumann) Martino, 59, of New Berlin, WI passed away on Wednesday, September 11th, 2019 surrounded by family.
Robyn was born in Waukesha, WI on April 22nd, 1960 to Mary Ellen Powers. She graduated from Waukesha South High School in 1978. Robyn went on to UW Waukesha for college, where she met her loving husband, Michael Martino. She completed her degree at Carroll University in math education. This was just the beginning of her passion for education and teaching. She went on to teach math for 19 years at Waukesha North. Robyn furthered her education with a Masters in Educational Leadership and spent the last 14 years of her educational career serving as a principal in the Elmbrook School District, retiring in 2015.
Robyn and Mike married on June 22nd, 1985 and spent the majority of their married years residing in New Berlin, WI. Together, they raised two daughters, Talia and Victoria (Tori). Robyn was the most committed mother, always finding ways to make everything special for her girls. In all things Robyn did in her life, but especially those things she did with and for her girls, she put her entire heart and soul into.
Robyn thoroughly enjoyed traveling with her husband, Mike during her brief retirement. Just like with her school career, Robyn filled her retirement years with many fun events. In three years, Robyn & Mike enjoyed six cruises. Robyn was looking forward to many future grandchildren and trips to the beach with her family. Robyn also found time to pursue her creative passions including floral arranging, beading, painting, designing and sewing.
Robyn is survived by her husband, Michael of 34 years; children, Talia (Ryley) Laird and Tori Martino; grandchild, Ramsey Laird; brothers and sisters include: Amy (Dean) Wainscott, Douglas (Kathy) Neumann, Luanne (Robert) Garrison. Further survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and many close friends.
Robyn was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Ellen and Roy Powers; father-in-law, Joe Martino; brother-in-law, Joey Martino along with other family and friends.
A celebration of life will take place in Robyn’s honor on Thursday, September 26th, 2019 at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center (3270 Mitchell Park, Brookfield, WI 53045) from 4-8pm. Please dress in a color or way you feel represents Robyn’s life. The family would prefer if guests refrain from wearing the traditional all black attire.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you share a donation to be given to a local educational organization.
In place of a traditional guest signing book, there will be a scrapbook to write your favorite memory and/or place a picture of a favorite moment with Robyn. The family looks forward to cherishing these in years to come.
