Kurt Wayne Raguse, age 50, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 3, 2019, at his home in Grafton. He was born June 17, 1969, in Milwaukee, to the late Wallace “Wally” Raguse and the late Joan (nee Makkos) Raguse. He attended Slinger High School after the family moved to Allenton. Kurt began his softball coaching career with the Allenton Youth Organization, eventually moving up the ranks to coach fast pitch softball at the high school (Brookfield East and Germantown) and college level (Mount Mary College). During that same time he also spent his summer and fall seasons coaching as well for Pride of the Midwest and BATS girls softball organizations. It was through softball that he reached so many people in a deep and positive way. Kurt was a family man, both on and off the ball field.
Kurt is survived by siblings Robin Kelsey, Richard (Susan) Blaha, Beth Raguse and Dru Sumwalt. Also survived by several nieces and nephews, Patrick, Michael and Leann Kelsey, Jenny (Justin) White, Kayla (Adam) Bahr, Preston, Bryttany and Trevor Dru Arrowood. He is also survived by 4 great-nieces and 2 great-nephews. Kurt was preceded in death by his parents Wallace and Joan, his brother Mark and sister Kathy.
A celebration of life will be held on November 30 from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Bub’s Irish Pub N116 W16218 Main St., Germantown, WI 53022.
