Susan D. (Bonchek) Adkins

Susan Diane Adkins (nee Bonchek), known to her loved ones as Sue or Susie, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2024, in Evanston, Illinois, at the age of 76 after a brief illness. She was born on June 19, 1947 in South Milwaukee, WI.

Susan will be deeply missed by her husband, Daniel Adkins, her daughters Paula (Michael) Morris and Penny (Mark) Myers-Prince and her beloved boys, Jeffrey Welsher-Myers and Madden Myers. She is also survived by her sister, Donnamae Landgraf, and brother, Robert Bonchek and 3 grandchildren, Mary Myers, Jonathan (Lexi) Morris, and Nicholas (Autumn Klase) Morris.  

She is preceded in death by her parents, Anton and Ednamae Bonchek, her brother John Bonchek, and sister Janet Distad.

Susan attended Zion Lutheran School for her primary education and graduated from South Milwaukee High School.

In her leisure time, Susan enjoyed gardening and traveling, finding joy in exploring new places and nurturing her garden.

Susan's presence will be greatly missed by all who knew her, but her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
